Cost of college went up for all students at Northcentral Technical College

In-state tuition and fees rose 1.6 percent for 2018-19 at Northcentral Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Wisconsin residents paid $3,553 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $56 more than the $3,497 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 45.3 percent more than residents this year, or $5,163. Their price tag grew 1.6 percent from $5,083 in 2017-18.

About 93 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Wisconsin residents. And about 6 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 74 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 165 students received grants or scholarships totaling $839,214 and 130 students took out student loans totaling more than $484,900.

Including all undergraduates (6,395), 1,761 students used grants or scholarships totaling $6.9 million, and 1,324 students took out $5.2 million in federal student loans.
