Local youth will perform in Disney’s “Frozen Jr.” from August 15-17 as part of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield Theatre Camp.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, August 15-16, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, at the Helen Connor Laird Theater at UWSP at Marshfield. Tickets can be purchased at tickets.uwsp.edu or at the box office one hour prior to the show, pending availability.

Directed by Donna Thompson, this marks UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield's 18th annual youth summer theatre production. The cast includes more than 50 central Wisconsin youth, ages 11-18, who have been rehearsing since early July to bring this production to life.

Based on the 2018 Broadway musical, “Frozen Jr.” brings Elsa, Anna and the magical land of Arendelle to life on stage. The show features all the memorable songs from the animated film with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, “Frozen Jr.” expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, they discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters filled with magic, adventure and humor, “Frozen Jr.” aims to thaw even the coldest heart.
