There were 9,018 students enrolled in Portage County school districts in the 2023-24 school year, 0.8% less than the previous year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

The county's data showed that 12th grade had the biggest classes with 723 students, while kindergarten saw the smallest enrollment that year with 593 students.

Countywide, Stevens Point Area Public School District welcomed the most students during the 2023-24 school year.
